IVRCL’s transportation wing secures new contracts worth $184 million

The transportation unit of IVRCL has won new contracts amounting to a total of INR9.178 billion.A joint venture of the firm has bagged one contract from New Delhi’s IRCON International for construction of tunnel T-74R on Dharam-Qazigund segment of Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla New BG railway line project.  The project is slated for completion in three years.The other contracts have beem commissioned by Rail Vikas Nigam. They include construction of roadbed, major and minor bridges as well as track linking S&T and general electrical work in Rajasthan and Gujarat. 

The latest, INR542.7 million ($10.92 million), contract has been awarded by Sambalpur’s Mahanadi Coalfields to a joint venture of IVRCL-RTE. The agreement encompasses mechanical transfer and transportation of coal from departmental surface miner face of Ananta OCP to Ananta railway siding No. V & VI at Ananta OCP, Jagannath Area.
