AMCS technologies, the specialist makers of anti-collision and zoning safety systems for lifting equipment, has introduced its own telematics system from cranes, called IoT Lifting, which uses a web platform and mobile application to monitor site productivity, enable fleet management and carry out remote diagnostics.

A statement from AMCS said the new system provides access to data in real time concerning anti-collision systems and the use of the crane in order to meet real needs of its customers. It collects all the information transmitted by the companyโ€™s DCS 61-S anti-collision systems relating to each crane on a mobile application and on a web portal, and generates personalised statistics according to each site and company.

โ€œAll of our customers will benefit from daily feedback on the productivity of their construction sites and cranes equipped with our DCS 61-S anti-collision systems,โ€ said M. Chettibi, CEO, AMCS technologies.

Explaining the working of the IoT Lifting system, AMCS said by adding a 3G/4G SIM card, its DCS 61-S systems collects and delivers information continuously thanks to various sensors placed on the cranes. It is thus possible to store, send and receive this information on the web portal.

Thanks to personal logins with different levels of access and functions, customers will be able to have access to the mapping of all sites equipped with DCS 61-S and thus manage their fleet of AMCS technologies products.

They will also be able to remotely view the SUP 61 supervisors and the DCS 61-S screens placed in the crane operatorsโ€™ cabins, analyse, download and share information, generate personalised statistics and carry out remote diagnostics.

The AMCS statement added: โ€œThis telematics system is not just about accurately monitoring job-site productivity and crane activity remotely. It goes much further, by allowing customers a real evaluation of productivity according to the concentration of the machines but also an automated management of their fleet of systems.โ€

As all the AMCS devices connected to the new IoT System are mapped, the user has the possibility of knowing precise information concerning them. This includes information such the site his systems are installed in, the individual cranes they are installed on, the version of the software, the serial numbers of the equipment, what elements of the anti-collision kit are installed, how many cranes are interfering, how many prohibited zones are present around a particular crane, etc.

Available on Android and IOS, the IoT System allows accurate, remote and real-time monitoring of crane data and DCS 61-S information, such as wind speed, whether the crane is in weathervane, the slewing angle, etc., with notifications sent to the customer.

Thanks to advanced access rights, the IoT System can also make it possible to neutralise the anti-collision and prohibited zone functions of cranes within a limited radius around the site after the acknowledgment of the operator of the machine concerned.

AMCS technologies said it โ€œoffers this new tool internationally as the SIM cards of each DCS 61-S system operate in more than 170 countriesโ€.
