Procore Technologies and NVIDIA are expanding their collaboration to bring advanced construction digital twin capabilities to complex construction projects, enabling teams to simulate real-world conditions and identify potential risks before they disrupt work on site. Announced at Groundbreak 2026, the new capabilities are currently in closed beta and connect Procoreโs Model Manager with Realism Mode, powered by NVIDIA Omniverse libraries.
The technology enables construction teams to visualize projects in a realistic 3D environment and assess how conditions such as extreme weather, sun exposure, material delivery delays and equipment installation changes could affect construction plans. By identifying potential conflicts earlier, teams can adjust project plans before issues lead to costly rework, delays or schedule disruption.
The collaboration targets complex projects, including AI factories and data centres, where construction teams must coordinate extensive physical infrastructure, equipment and schedules. Procore and NVIDIA aim to connect simulation capabilities with project information to improve planning, risk identification and decision-making throughout construction.
Digital Twins Support Construction Risk Management
Procoreโs digital twin capabilities connect project models with information about real-world conditions and construction activities. Through the integration with NVIDIA Omniverse libraries, teams can visualize projects in 3D and test how different scenarios could affect construction before those conditions occur on site.
The capabilities are designed to help teams compare project designs with actual construction progress, understand potential schedule disruptions and evaluate alternative approaches before committing to changes in the field.
Steve Davis, president of product and technology at Procore, said, โConstruction is inherently physical, but in the future, the most successful and resilient megaprojects will be built digitally first. As the leader in construction management software, Procore is deepening our collaboration with AI leader NVIDIA, to empower teams to visualize projects, simulate real-world conditions, and test variables before a single shovel hits the ground.โ
NVIDIA Omniverse provides the simulation capabilities underpinning the new experience. Vladimir Troy, vice president of AI Infrastructure at NVIDIA, said the technology can help teams assess interconnected systems before construction begins.
โBuilding an AI factory requires thousands of decisions across power, cooling, compute, networking and physical infrastructure,โ Troy said. โNVIDIA Omniverse lets teams simulate these systems before construction begins, identify problems earlier and make better decisions before they become costly changes in the field. Together, Procore and NVIDIA are connecting simulation with project data to reduce risk and move faster from design to operation.โ
Connecting Digital Models With Site Conditions
The expanded capabilities form part of Procoreโs broader system of intelligence, which brings project information together to help construction teams understand site conditions and act on potential risks.
Procoreโs acquisition of DroneDeploy adds aerial and ground-based imagery to its project information capabilities. This imagery can be connected with digital twin models to help teams compare actual construction progress against the original design, identify discrepancies and address issues before they grow into larger problems.
The combined technologies are intended to support several construction workflows.
Teams can compare design models with real-world jobsite conditions using reality capture from DroneDeploy. This can help them identify differences between planned and actual construction progress and make informed decisions about corrective action.
Project teams can also connect 3D models with procurement and schedule information to understand how a disruption, such as a delayed material delivery or equipment installation, could affect subsequent activities. By identifying potential knock-on effects, teams can adjust work sequencing and take steps to protect critical milestones.
The platform also allows teams to test scenarios involving extreme weather, sun exposure, and the movement of workers and equipment. These simulations can help identify potential conflicts before construction activities begin or conditions change on site.
Simulation Targets Complex Infrastructure Projects
The collaboration comes as investment in data centres, AI infrastructure and energy systems drives demand for large, complex construction projects. The source announcement cites a projection that companies could invest nearly $7 trillion in data centre infrastructure by 2030.
Delivering these facilities requires coordination across multiple systems, including power, cooling, computing, networking and physical infrastructure. Construction capacity and workforce constraints can also affect delivery schedules, increasing the importance of efficient planning and resource use.
By connecting project data with realistic 3D simulation, Procore and NVIDIA aim to help construction teams evaluate risks earlier and make decisions with a clearer understanding of their potential effects. The approach is intended to reduce waste, limit rework and improve predictability on complex projects.
Switch, a designer, builder and operator of advanced data centres and a joint customer of Procore and NVIDIA, sees potential for 3D visualization to improve project planning and execution.
Corine Winfield, vice president of data operations at Switch, said, โWhen building at the pace and scale our customers require, there is no room for surprises in the field. By visualizing a project in 3D, our teams gain greater clarity into construction progress, make better-informed decisions earlier and keep complex initiatives on schedule.โ
Procore and NVIDIA Advance Construction Intelligence
The expanded collaboration connects digital simulation with project data to help teams assess not only current construction conditions but also how potential changes could affect future work. By identifying risks before they become costly field problems, the technology aims to support more informed planning and project execution.
The new capabilities are currently in closed beta, allowing teams to move between Procoreโs Model Manager and Realism Mode. Procore and NVIDIA are positioning the integration as a way to bring design information, construction progress and scenario testing into a more connected workflow.
As demand for complex facilities continues to drive construction digital twins and simulation tools offer teams another way to assess project risks before work is affected. The collaboration seeks to help construction teams make better-informed decisions, anticipate disruptions and manage complex projects with greater predictability.
