A logistics company based out of Southampton, England, Meachers Global Logistics expands deal with global building materials leader James Hardie, securing a new facility in Nursling to enhance supply chain services.
Meachers Global Logistics has gone on to expand contract along with James Hardie, which is a worldwide leader when it comes to fibre cement building materials, post three years of an already entered collaboration. Gary Whittle, who happens to be Meachers Global Logistics operations director, said that they are indeed thrilled to deepen this collaboration with James Hardie. The addition of warehousing services is indeed a testament to the dependence and confidence that James Hardie has in their capabilities, remarked Whittle.
Apparently, the new facility at Nursling Estate is going to be helping them to deliver greater value as well as efficiency to James Hardie.
Interestingly, as per the new agreement, Meachers Global Logistics will now offer warehousing services apart from transportation, thereby aiming to streamline the supply chain of James Hardie as well as support its continued growth.
In order to meet the expanded needs, Meachers has already acquired a new facility at the Nursling Estate.
It is well to be noted that the new space is going to help manage the rising volumes of work and also support the delivery of certain additional services, as per the spokesperson from Meachers. James Hardie Senior management has already praised the dependability as well as the adaptability of the services from Meachers. The operations manager at Jamie Hardie, Mike Brown, said that they are excited to continue with this partnership along with Meachers Global Logistics. According to him, Meachers’ commitment to excellence as well as their capacity to adapt to the growing requirements has been very instrumental in James Hardie’s success.
He further said that the new warehousing services are going to further streamline their operations and at the same time support the growth.
Notably, the warehouse team at Meachers is going to oversee the operations at the new facility, thereby offering personalized logistics solutions in order to meet the specifications laid down by James Hardie.
This partnership highlights the ability of Meachers to scale its operations and, at the same time, deliver end-to-end logistics support to its major clients. It is well to be noted that James Hardie happens to be a global manufacturer of fibre cement building materials firm and its history spans over 130 years.
Known for its durability, innovation, and quality, James Hardie’s products are used across commercial as well as residential construction projects throughout the world. The company happens to serve a broad range of industries and is also known for its agile and customer centric approach.
