FP McCann has completed the Easy-Trim acquisition, adding roofing accessories specialist Easy-Trim Roofing & Construction Products to its portfolio as part of a broader growth strategy.

The acquisition was announced by Paul McCann, director at FP McCann, and comes as the Northern Ireland-headquartered group continues a decade of growth through a series of targeted acquisitions. In 2024, the combined group posted turnover of £415.3 million and profit after tax of £52.5 million.

Easy-Trim’s parent company, Memtech Ltd, meanwhile stated that the business continued to demonstrate stable performance in 2025 with turnover increasing 1.7% to £20,673,115. In its annual report, it also revealed that there had been a significant cash injection from Memtech when Easy-Trim’s directors took control of the remaining 40% of the shareholding they did not already own.

The report from Memtech also included an impairment charge of £232,983 as a result of Easy-Trim going into administration and writing off total debt of £305,381, most of which related to HSBC as a result of invoice factoring arrangements.

Paul McCann said the FP McCann Easy-Trim acquisition would be “further enhancing our product offering across our Plastic’s division.”

An FP McCann spokesperson commented: “This move strengthens the company’s ability to serve as a single-source supplier to contractors, developers, and builders, simplifying procurement and ensuring greater on-site material compatibility.

“The acquisition of Easy-Trim is a fantastic addition to the FP McCann group and a significant step in the growth of our roofing and building products division.

“Easy-Trim’s commitment to quality and innovation in roofing accessories aligns perfectly with our own values. This partnership allows us to provide an even more robust and complete offering to the construction industry, reinforcing our position as a one-stop shop for high-performance building materials.”

FP McCann entered the UK concrete roof tile market in 2023 with the launch of its £30 million manufacturing facility in Cadeby, Leicestershire. The site has the capacity to produce up to 60 million concrete roof tiles each year.
