A building in Qatar constructed using 3D printing technology has made it into the Guinness Book of World Records. According to the state news agency QNA, it is the longest independent concrete structure ever made using a 3D printer.

The 170-square-meter, 12.4-meter-high structure in the shape of a tower with ten levels was assembled from 75 individually printed parts. It is part of the Qatar Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s pavilion at Expo 2023 in Doha.

Minister Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammed Al Mannai said the world record is a testament to Qatar’s commitment to innovation and technology. He added that the 3D printing tower demonstrates technological progress in Qatar, where traditional values are in harmony with cutting-edge technology.

Qatar is increasingly turning to 3D printing to deliver visionary and sustainable construction projects.
