CMiC, the provider of the most advanced construction software ever designed for the industry, CMiC Open Enterprise v10, announced that J.C. Cannistraro LLC, a leading mechanical construction firm that specializes in Plumbing, HVAC and Fire protection, will integrate financials, project management and project controls with CMiC. “What attracted us to CMiC was the full integration between financials and project management,” said Will Collins, Director of Accounting, J.C. Cannistraro, LLC. “CMiC will provide us with real time data shared across the organization, something that our previous system lacked.  We had to incorporate other software applications in order for our previous financial and project management system to share info with each other. With CMiC, however, everything is integrated on the same database.”

Based in Watertown, MA and with a range of operations that covers New England, Cannistraro started in 1963 as a one-man plumbing shop. More than 45 years later, Cannistraro has expanded to provide HVAC, Fire Protection and Facilities Management services for large mechanical plants at hospitals, universities and laboratories. With over 200 projects ongoing at a time, Cannistraro began the search for a new software solution after realizing that their previous system lacked the functionality that the growing company needed.

“CMiC Open Enterprise v10 will assist us in maintaining our “Best in Class” market leadership and position us for continued growth,” said Neil Johnson, Operations Manager, J.C. Cannistraro LLC. On the 2010 ENR Top 600 Specialty Contractors List, Cannistraro ranked 144, up from 161 in 2009.

“We are very pleased to see Cannistraro join our ever expanding client community, which includes some of the largest and most technologically progressive contractors in North America,” said Bassem Hamdy, vice president, solutions, CMiC. “Specialty Contractors like Cannistraro are starting to realize the value in having an integrated construction software solution that is designed specifically to handle the needs of the industry.”

About Cannistraro
