Planning Design Research , which creates high-performance work environments for companies around the globe, has been named architect for Murphy Exploration & Production’s new west Houston office.

Murphy E&P will re-locate employees from the Park 10 area in the Fall of 2013 to a new, 14-story building at 9805 Katy Freeway between Gessner and Bunker Hill in Houston’s Energy Corridor. Base building construction is scheduled to begin in July with interiors construction starting in April 2013.

Murphy E&P, which is engaged worldwide in crude oil and natural gas exploration and production, will occupy the building’s top seven floors in space spanning approximately 165,000 square feet.

In addition to providing architectural services for Murphy E&P, PDR’s extensive portfolio of energy-related clients includes ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Citgo, Oxy and BG among others.

Members of the PDR workplace design team include Principal in Charge Drew Patton, Project Manager Marc Bellamy and Project Designer Tonya Enterline.

Founded in 1977, PDR focuses on corporate architecture, working with Fortune 100 companies around the globe to create high-performance work environments for organizations which recognize the workplace as a key, strategic asset in promoting the effective integration of talent, process and technology.
