Great Britain and Northern Island company, Carl Stahl Evita, is celebrating the successful delivery of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) training scheme to its 500th delegate. The company achieved LEEA-accredited training company status three years ago.

Carl Stahl Evita was one of the first companies internationally to become a LEEA-accredited training company, LEEA stated. The company now offers a range of courses under the scheme, including management of lifting operations and safe lifting and slinging.

Commenting on the milestone, Roy Fulthorpe, general manager of Carl Stahl Evita Ltd, said: “Achieving LEEA Accredited Training Company status reflects our determination to offer customers the highest possible standards of professional development and assessment. I’m delighted that so many employers recognise the value of the LEEA endorsement and we’re now on our way to training a thousand people under this scheme.”

The LEEA’s accredited training scheme has established an independently verified standard for companies that train end users of overhead lifting equipment, the trade association stated. Only full members of the LEEA are eligible to apply for accreditation and they must undertake an audit that covers criteria such as the quality of the training facilities and instructors, and the effectiveness of student assessment. The LEEA was Established in 1944 and has approximately 600 member companies globally.
