Lend Lease has appointed National Grid’s construction director Michael Dyke to lead the part of its business formerly known as Bovis across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Dyke will join Lend Lease as its executive director for project management and construction, EMEA, at the start of July, reporting to Lend Lease EMEA chief executive Dan Labbad.

The appointment fills the vacancy left by Bovis Lend Lease chief executive Nick Pollard’s departure last summer, which came as the result of a restructure of the business that saw Labbad appointed to his current role.

Labbad said: “Michael brings with him vast strategic and large scale operational experience and I am delighted that he is joining the EMEA business. His appointment at this time plays a key part in bringing our regional construction platform together and aligns with our strategy to grow a construction business that is dynamic, efficient, and highly competitive.”

Dyke joins Lend Lease from his role as director of UK Construction at National Grid, where he has run one of the biggest construction programmes in the country.

With almost 25 years experience in the construction business, Dyke began his career with Wimpey Construction before moving on to Balfour Beatty and then EDF Energy.
