Skanska invests EUR 23M, about SEK 230M in the second office building of Nowy Rynek, a mixed-use project located in Poznan, Poland. The six-story office building will have a total leasable area of around 12,000 square meters.

Nowy Rynek is Skanska’s third commercial development in Poznan. The complex with five independent buildings is located in the central business district, creating a new quarter in the city of Poznan. It will encompass offices and retail with a new public square that will host activities available for the local community. The first office building, comprising about 25,000 square meters, is under construction and is already sold.

The second building of the complex is expected to receive LEED Gold certification. It will also be certified as a “Building without Barriers” for its accessible design, inclusive for people with disabilities.

Construction of the second building started in February 2018 and is scheduled for completion during the third quarter 2019.

Skanska is one of the leading development and construction companies in Europe. Outside the Nordics the company has European operations in building construction and civil engineering in Poland, Czech Republic & Slovakia and UK.

Skanska develops commercial properties in select home markets in Poland, Czech Republic, Romania and Hungary, while the residential development is active in Prague and Warsaw. Skanska also offers services in public private partnerships. In 2017, Skanska had sales of SEK 37 billion and about 16,000 employees in its European operations.
