GOCO Hospitality and Samahita Yoga Thailand are working together to develop Samahita Residences, a wellness community on the lush tropical island of Koh Samui, Thailand. The project is focused on nature, healthy living, and environmental standards and will foster a small community of homeowners with a similar mindset.

“GOCO Hospitality is committed to developing wellness projects which encourage healthy living,” said Ingo Schweder, Chief Executive Officer. “Becoming an equity investor in Samahita Residences allows us to do so with the added benefits of us working with Paul Dallaghan and being able to work on an exciting project in Thailand, which is our home base.”

Paul Dallaghan, co-founder of Samahita Yoga Thailand is one of the final few to be certified by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Ashtanga vinyasa yoga. Paul is also a senior student of Sri O.P. Tiwari, one of the few remaining classical yogis and masters of Pranayama. He has practiced Pranayama under Tiwariji’s direct guidance since 2000 and is one of only two certified by Tiwari to teach the traditional and classical Pranayama.

Samahita Residences is situated on land offering spectacular views of the sea, as well as the green abundance of the island’s rainforest and coconut plantations. The land itself is rich with greenery, magnificent boulders, and spectacular natural features. The entire property is surrounded by a 500-acre protected forest, which guarantees Samahita Residences privacy and exclusivity.

Homeowners at Samahita Residences would purchase land plots on which they can build their own villa. A recommended team from Sterling Project Management and Rarin Design, who also built Samahita Yoga Thailand, is available to assist with the construction process, starting from the design stage to completion, ensuring that Samahita Residences’ green building standards are met. These standards include:

– Rain water collection system

– Solar panels for water heater

– Low-consumption lighting (LED, CFC)

– Natural roofing materials

– Cross ventilation air flow

– Water-saving sanitary fixtures (dual-flush toilet, low-flow faucets, etc.)

– Recycled wood products when possible

– Low-energy air-conditioning and appliances

– Salt water or ionized pool system

Samahita Residences is equipped with full infrastructure: concrete road, private gated community with security, 3-phase electricity, and fiber optic wireless internet. Samahita Yoga Thailand manages the entire development and will provide homeowners with specific maintenance services including security, maid service, gardener, and pool cleaning. Homeowners will also have the option to include their villa within the rental pool to rent out their villa during their absence.

Only eight of the 20 plots remain available for sale. Plot sizes vary from 800 sq.m. to 1,800 sq.m. with prices starting from THB 1.7 million (approximately USD 53,000). Sea view plots are available with sizes from 1,000 sq.m. to 1,500 sq.m, and prices between THB 4.2 – 9.2 million (approximately USD131,000 – 290,000) .
