NOSA Hosts 53rd NOSHCON Conference

NOSA will host its 53rd NOSHCON occupational risk management conference and exhibition at Champagne Sports Resort in Drakensberg from the 9 – 12 September 2014.

Integrated into NOSHCON this year will be the NOSCARS – NOSA’s international awards banquet that gives recognition to organisations and individuals with an outstanding and consistent commitment to providing safe and healthy working environments for employees.

The annual event attracts leading brands in the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management communities and affords risk management professionals and practitioners the opportunity to share their knowledge and expertise in creating risk-free working environments.

NOSHCON is the largest risk management exhibition in South Africa where more than 40 papers covering a variety of occupational risk management topics will be presented by industry experts. NOSA is pleased to announce the following key note speakers for 2014:

  • Ken Annandale – CEO: Intra-Safe (Pty) Ltd
  • Dr Frank Huess Hedlund – External Associate Professor: Denmark Technical University & Risk Expert: COWI

And we are excited to invite back last year’s key note session:

  • Losika Change

Losika Change assists employees to adopt change through dramatic interventions. Following the success at NOSHCON 2013 Losika’s Key-Note session for this year will portray various applications of communicating and creating sustainable change within the SHEQ environment. The session is highly entertaining and jam-packed with humour, to-the-point discussions and eye-opening revelations.

NOSA managing director Justin Hobday said, “NOSA strives to enhance the values of the occupational risk management industry while ensuring that the industry as a whole continues to grow and develop. We are honoured and privileged to host an annual event of this calibre and to recognise individuals and organisations that have shown remarkable dedication to maintaining the highest levels of excellence in occupational risk management performance.”
