Hill International has been appointed as project manager for the construction of the Mall of Qatar in Doha, Qatar.

The three-year contract has an estimated value to Hill of approximately QR 35.0m (£5.6m).

The Mall of Qatar is expected to serve an estimated 20 million customers annually. A distinguishing architectural feature of the mall is a three-story central amphitheatre with a massive domed roof, called the Oasis, which will feature themed restaurants, fine dining and family food outlets. The mall will be spread over 165,000m2 and have a hypermarket, five department stores, 20 restaurants and an indoor streetscape with stores from around the world.

“This will be a retail attraction like no other in Doha,” said Mohammed Al Rais, senior vice president and managing director (Middle East) for Hill’s project management group.
