Sany Heavy Industry has introduced what it describes as the world’s first hybrid pump truck, marking a step forward in its strategy to expand electrified and digitally integrated construction machinery offerings. The newly launched intelligent hybrid concrete pump truck integrates a smart drivetrain with a range-extended hybrid system, targeting persistent challenges tied to operating range and energy efficiency in electric construction equipment.

The company stated that the hybrid concrete pump truck has demonstrated a maximum range of 1,400.5km during testing, alongside a continuous pumping capacity exceeding 650 cubic metres. Performance trials also showed the machine sustaining operations for 84 consecutive days without interruption. Over this period, it achieved a cumulative pumping volume of more than 120,000 cubic metres while maintaining high-pressure pumping at 20 megapascals (MPa), reflecting its operational endurance under demanding conditions.

Sany indicated that cost efficiency gains vary depending on utilisation levels. Under daily operating volumes of 50–100 cubic metres, the company reported potential cost reductions ranging between 50% and 75%. At higher utilisation levels of 100–200 cubic metres per day, savings were estimated at 30% to 50%, suggesting measurable operational benefits across different workload scenarios.

In parallel with the pump truck launch, Sany unveiled an electric mixer truck scheduled for 2026, equipped with an energy recovery braking system capable of achieving a recovery rate of up to 30%. The mixer incorporates multiple safety features, including lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking and right-turn emergency braking. The company also presented two additional compact models the 206 electric mixer truck and a 33-metre pump truck designed for use in confined or rural job sites. Yuan Yue, chairman of Sany’s concrete and road machinery business unit, said, “Through continued R&D investment, we are bringing a new generation of products to market, including the smart hybrid pump truck, electric mixer truck, and 33-meter pump truck – all designed to address customer concerns around energy costs and operational range.”
