KBR, Incorporated, in partnership with John Holland, Metro Trains Melbourne and Public Transport Victoria, has been selected by VicRoads for the $145 million Mitcham Road and Rooks Road Rail Separation Project in Victoria, Australia.

Under the terms of the contract, KBR will provide preliminary design, detailed engineering design and technical advice during construction of the project. According to KBR, the project will provide long-term improvements to public transport and road network efficiencies at two of Victoria’s busiest rail crossings.

The scope of the work involves grade separation of Rooks and Mitcham roads from the railway, replacement of 1.8km rail track and construction of a new premium station. John Holland, KBR’s alliance partner, will be responsible for construction of the project.
