UK-based Ocon Construction Limited has completed construction work on £34 million ($53.98 million) student accommodation project for the University of Liverpool in Liverpool, UK.

The project, known as Vine Court, is located at Chatham Street, L7, in the south-west corner of the university campus. The project involved the construction of two horseshoe-shaped buildings with a central and landscaped courtyard.

The development includes 749 units, which will be in a mix of en-suite study bedrooms including five accessible rooms, studio apartments, two-bedroom apartments and two-bedroom duplex loft apartments along with a restaurant with 250 seats, a café and retail accommodation.

Designed by Stride Treglown Architects, Vine Court has incorporated several sustainable features such as solar water heating systems, LED lighting, which has been used for low maintenance energy efficiency in the common areas and air source heat pumps which heat and cool the student study bedrooms.
