Skanska invests in a residential development project in Helsinki, Finland. The total investment amounts to EUR 58M, about SEK 610M. The construction contract is worth EUR 46M, about SEK 490M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2022.

Skanska and the City of Helsinki organized an architectural competition for the project, which resulted in a high-quality design that enables sea views from many apartments. Almost all the 126 apartments have a unique layout. The building contains two commercial spaces and a communal space that can be used for remote working and training.

The building is heated and cooled sustainably with geothermal energy, and the project has the highest energy efficiency class. The aim is to receive the RTS Environmental Classification for the site.

Construction started in November 2022 and completion is scheduled for the fourth quarter 2024.
