UK-based flooring manufacturer and supplier Forbo Flooring Systems has supplied a host of their products for renovation of The London Clinic in London, UK. The project has been designed by Swanke Hayden Connell Architects and involved relocation of the clinic’s three units – nuclear medicine, mammography and CT Scanning – into one floor. Forbo has supplied its Allura Wood, SafeStep Grip, SureStep Wood and Marmoleum Ohmex flooring products which have been laid out in an area spanning more than 400 square metres of the building.
The Allura Luxury Vinyl Tile flooring range in timber wood has been fitted in the facility’s public spaces. The line features an individual surface texture replicating the printed style. The flooring runs high on durability and is suitable for heavily congested areas owing to its stable glassfleece interlayer formation, a robust calendared wearlayer as well as a PUR finish.
The treatment rooms of the building don the Marmoleum Ohmex linoleum flooring on account of its higher electrical resistance rate over normal linoleum flooring. This ensures safety and protects static electricity-sensitive equipments. In addition, the flooring is bacteriostatic adding to its efficiency.
The clinic also features SureStep Wood safety flooring and SafeStep Grip safety vinyl flooring following its makeover. SureStep sports a finish in natural oak while preventing high slip. SafeStep too withstands high slip which makes it ideal to be used in various types of general purpose spaces calling for R10 slip resistance. Presence of aluminium oxide particles in the wear layer and a PUR Pearl finish further make the vinyl flooring durable and low maintenance.
