Caterpillar has launched three new compact wheeled loaders Cat 906, 907 and 908 models designed for the construction, industrial and waste sectors as part of its Next Generation equipment line.

Weighing between 5.7 to 6.6 tonnes they are fitted with Cat’s new Stage V-compliant C2.8 engine, which provides 55.7kW (74 hp) of power and delivers 13% more torque. When compared to Cat’s previous M-Series loaders these loaders benefit from improved road performance and “tractive effort”,

The Next Generation loaders will be available globally are equipped with a pressurized cab, which is fitted seat-mounted controls. They also have larger fuel tanks and an upgraded drive and powertrain that offers faster road speeds

“A multifunction joystick controls travel direction and speed, proportional auxiliary flow, differential lock, and constant hydraulic flow without operators removing their hand from the joystick, elevating operating safety,” said Cat.

All 3 loaders also provides real-time machine operating information through Cat’s Next Generation control monitor. Operators can use the monitor to configure hydrostatic transmission response, auto engine idle shutdown and a utility powertrain mode, which is said to provide “a more intuitive means of controlling ground and engine speed” when working with attachments.
