Speaker line-up set for CW Infrastructure UAE

The speaker line-up for Construction Week’s second annual Infrastructure UAE conference has been finalised.

Taking place at the Westin in Dubai on 27 March, this year’s event will have a particular focus on the UAE’s housing programme.

The morning will open with a presentation by Tahani Yousuf, director of the Urban Planning Department, UAE Ministry of Public Works. She will outline of the vision of the ministry with the goals that are being set and the timelines of projects to be delivered and how these offer opportunities for collaboration with the private sector.

Other highlights on the day include presentations and discussions on attracting private investment for infrastructure.

Gurjit Singh, Chief operating officer of Sorouh Real Estate will offer insights into alternative models of financing including public-private partnership (PPP) and infrastructure investment trusts. He will give examples from successful models that have been used in Singapore.

Alistair Kirk, partner, head of infrastructure at EC Harris will present the the EC Harris Global Infrastructure Investment Index report that can be used to evaluate the potential opportunities and risks associated with the specific countries analysed in it.
