Skanska builds a municipal town center in Stavanger, Norway, for NOK 750M, about SEK 775M

Skanska has signed a contract with Stavanger Municipality for the construction of a new municipal town center for the Storhaug district in Stavanger, Norway. The contract is worth NOK 750M, about SEK 775M, which will be included in the Nordic bookings for the first quarter of 2022.

The project is named the Lervik Quarter and will be a new meeting place for the Storhaug district in Stavanger. The project’s total building mass is 26,000 square meters, and it includes a primary school, kindergarten, multi-purpose hall, a district service center, grocery store, offices, and parking facilities.

The project has high climate ambitions. Solid wood will be used extensively, and the construction work will be carried out as a fossil-free construction site. The project will be environmentally certified in accordance with BREEAM-NOR with the ambition of reaching level “Very good” on the certification scale.

Construction work will start in May 2022 and the project will be completed in the end of 2024.
