Mansell wins £11.8 million contract to construct three multi agency specialist hubs in Kent

Mansell has won a £11.8 million contract to construct three multi agency specialist hubs in Ashford, Thanet and Swale for Kent County Council. This contract is a joint venture between the NHS and Kent County Council to provide multi agency assessment, development and resource centres for disabled children, young people and their carers. Each two-storey centre will be constructed on land previously occupied, annexed to or within the grounds of local schools. Ashford’s facilities are being constructed on a metal grillage as it is situated on an Environment Agency designated flood plain.

An archaeological watching brief and investigation has been carried out at Ashford by Archaeology South Eastern to ensure preservation of any artefacts discovered.
