The local Green Island Grant, which can provide grants of up to £10,000 for a raft of eco-friendly measures including, insulation, double glazing, solar power and heat pumps, will continue to take enquiries throughout the new lockdown.

If a grant is approved, members of the construction industry are permitted to install measures – subject to government guidelines.

Not to be confused with the national Green Homes Grant, local traders are being contacted to deliver the local scheme, which could see in excess of £500,000 being spent with Island companies.

The Green Island Grant gives a great opportunity for Isle of Wight households to cut energy bills, keep warmer and reduce their impact on the environment. Measures that could help households save up to £600 a year on their energy bills. The scheme is aimed at those with a joint household income of under £30,000 and properties must have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of E, F or G.
