Concord Medical Services Holdings Ltd , a leading specialty hospital management solution provider and operator of the largest network of radiotherapy and diagnostic imaging centers in China, announced that Shanghai Concord Cancer Hospital officially started construction on September 20.
Shanghai Concord Cancer Hospital is a “Level III” specialty cancer hospital project invested by Concord Medical. Shanghai Concord Cancer Hospital is located in Shanghai New Hongqiao International Medical Center, which is a cooperation project between the National Health and Family Planning Commission and the Shanghai Municipal Government and one of 13 approved national tourism medical demonstration bases in 2017. With a total construction area of about 160,000 square meters, the project will be equipped with 400 beds and high-end, large-scale medical equipment, including proton therapy equipment. With a total investment amount of more than RMB 2 billion, Shanghai Concord Cancer Hospital is expected to be the largest Sino-foreign joint venture tumor specialty hospital with the highest investment in Shanghai to date.
