Long Fence is expanding their ability to quote, fabricate and install architectural and specialty metals for indoor and outdoor applications. These applications provide organizations with contemporary and trend-setting products to enhance the form and function of any project.

Alan Jackson recently joined Long® Fence as Project Manager, Specialty Metals Division, and brings over 44 years of experience in construction, operations and general management, plus extended knowledge of estimating, design and installation. Alan has worked in different regions of the country including the West Coast, Southwest, Midwest, Southeast and mid-Atlantic and is familiar with the effects a variety of climates can have on different metals and the nuances of regional influence on design.

Alan stated, “I see an outstanding future for the numerous miscellaneous and architectural metal products that we offer. By expanding our ability to meet the architectural specifications of partner firms, it’s a win-win solution for everyone.”

Long® Fence Specialty Metals Include Stainless Steel, Bronze and Brass

Long® Fence specialty metals include, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, bronze and brass, plus cable and glass. Their products can be designed for ornamental to light structural applications and for new or re-habilitated jobs. All architectural metals are custom manufactured by Long® Fence in their own facility. The aluminum and steel products receive a baked on powder-coated finish for durability and longevity. In addition to traditional black or white, custom color matching is offered.

Products offered include cable and glass railings, mesh infill railings, panels and partitions; and plasma, laser and water jet cut architectural panels. Capabilities also include louvered screening, canopies, platforms, mezzanines and stairs. Long® Fence specialty metals can be utilized in corporate and health centers; restaurant, hotel and shopping centers; parks and recreational facilities and in apartments, condos and penthouses.

Long® Fence Has Provided Railings, Enclosures and Fencing Since 1945

Long® Fence, a family owned fence contractor in operation since 1945, primarily serves the mid-Atlantic region from Pennsylvania to Georgia, however large scale government and industrial installations can be found in most of the United States. Long® Fence installs all types of fencing and related screens, panels, partitions and railings for federal, commercial and residential customers. Selected projects using architectural metals include Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, Wheaton Regional Park in Montgomery County, MD and Benning/Dorothy I. Height Library in Washington, DC.
