Atlanta-based construction firm Hardin Construction Company has been chosen for construction of the third campus of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in southwest Austin, Texas. The new campus will be located on a 27.7-acre site and will possess a capacity to house about 500 students. The campus will consist of two, two-storeyed buildings. These facilities will feature 80,000 square feet of labs and classrooms which will be designed after auditoriums. Other features of the buildings include library and research amenities, office and administrative areas, indoor and outdoor student lounge spaces for students, and a surface parking lot with a capacity of 240.

The structures will be equipped with a host of advanced applications and will be designed to boost student-centric education. These include the facility’s academic areas which will house student groups to facilitate interactive learning sessions, and tiered and arched auditorium classrooms which will create more interaction amongst students.The project is due to be completed by June 2012.
