After little more than a year in business, access hire firm Star Platforms has entered the truck-mounted platform hire market.

Its first truck-mount is a new CTE model, the Zed 21.2 JH, which has a redesigned boom configuration to provide a flexible 20.7-metre working height and 10-metre outreach.

Star Platforms joint managing director Richard Miller said: “As we continue to grow our customer base, we receive a greater number of requests for specialist equipment, including truck mounted platforms like this. This purchase reflects that demand and, as members of the Access Alliance, we can also offer our customers a broader range of other truck mounted platform hire options, all the way up to 112 metres.”

Star Platforms opened its first depot in Luton in October 2014 and its second near Sevenoaks in August 2015.
