Sodra has reported net sales of SEK13.9 billion ($2 billion) for the first nine months of 2011, compared to SEK14.9 billion ($2.2 billion) for the corresponding period of 2010.Sodra reported an operating profit of SEK879 million ($132.4 million) for the first nine months of 2011, compared to SEK1.9 billion ($300 million) for the same period of 2010.The difference of SEK1,115 million ($167.9 million) in operating profit compared with the same period of 2010 is explained by higher timber costs, adverse exchange rate effects, lower delivery volumes and the fire at Södra Cell Mönsteras, combined with a weak market for sawn timber products.
