Press plate and endless press belt manufacturer Sandvik Surface Solutions, based in Ennepetal, Germany, is to concentrate all its energies on the development of smooth and textured surfaces for short cycle press plates and endless press belts.

As a result, the company will cease production of double-sided-textured HPL press plates with immediate effect.

“This move will enable us to focus solely on short cycle press plates and endless press belts,” said Sascha Porst, global product manager, explaining the decision. “This is our core business and the area in which we can deliver greatest value to our customers. “Our strengths lie in engineering know-how and the development of ideas, working with customers to bring new designs, both smooth and textured surfaces, to market.”
