Sancal, a Spanish furniture company, has launched the Tab line of stools and side tables designed by Valencia-based design studio Nadadora.

The inspiration for this designer range of furniture is derived from a beehive called ‘trobo’ found in Asturias, northwestern Spain that is made from hollowed-out tree trunks. The new range of furniture includes small tables and benches that can be part of any space in the room.

The base of the stools and tables are made from curved sheets of chestnut wood. The products are produced in two different heights and the table tops are available in two diameters.

Designed to be part of a range of contemporary interiors, these stools and tables feature neutral colors of the wood that make them suitable for subtly coloured interiors. Some of the pieces in the collection feature brightly coloured table tops contrasted against the neutral colour of the wood.
