New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Inc. has completed the acquisition of Frank Casilio and Sons, Inc., bringing three ready-mixed concrete plants in the Lehigh Valley into its operational network. The deal, finalised on April 27, marks a continued push by NESL to scale its production footprint across a key construction corridor in Pennsylvania.

The acquired sites are located in Allentown, Bethlehem, and Nazareth, strengthening NESLโ€™s presence in a region where Frank Casilio and Sons has operated for nearly 90 years. The business has built a long-standing customer base in the Allentown area, supported by consistent service delivery and established relationships across the local construction ecosystem. NESL indicated that the companyโ€™s operational reliability and experienced workforce were central factors in the transaction, positioning the acquisition as both a capacity enhancement and a geographic expansion.

Paul Detwiler III, Chief Executive Officer of New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., said the transaction reflects the companyโ€™s broader growth strategy, which combines organic expansion with targeted acquisitions. With the addition of these facilities, NESLโ€™s ready-mixed concrete network will expand to 15 plants across Pennsylvania, improving its ability to meet demand from residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The integration is expected to reinforce the companyโ€™s concrete network while maintaining service continuity for existing customers.

Operating as a vertically integrated supplier, NESLโ€™s business spans aggregates, hot mix asphalt, and ready-mixed concrete production, alongside heavy and highway construction services. This model allows the company to align materials supply with construction execution across multiple end markets. The acquisition also underscores ongoing consolidation in the construction materials sector, where regional operators are pursuing strategic deals to optimise logistics, enhance plant density, and improve supply chain efficiency in high-demand regions.

NESL stated that the newly acquired facilities will complement its existing operations and support broader distribution capabilities across eastern and central Pennsylvania. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
