Two crane and rigging specialists have announced their involvement in new construction, expansions and heavy maintenance plans along the Gulf coast.

Deep South Crane and Rigging and Maxim Crane Works have said they intend to play a critical role in the upgrades. The companies announced that they are well prepared for the rising surge in oil and gas production along the Gulf Coast.

Deep South and Maxim supply specialised cranes, transport equipment and credentialed labour required to execute heavy and critical path lifts intrinsic in the construction, operation and maintenance of industrial plants and modern refineries.

Along the Gulf Coast, the two crane companies’ client base includes a number of large energy providers and oil and gas producers.

Maxim Crane Works and Deep South Crane and Rigging are long-standing Gulf Coast signatory contractors with the Iron Workers Union.

Both companies consider this a relationship that has been a vital part of their success in the region. “Being signatory gives us the capability to go out and compete for big projects,” said Bruce Smiley, senior account manager for Maxim Crane Works in Texas City.

“We can do turnarounds turnkey, supplying the cranes, Iron Worker riggers and crane operators to do the job.”
