Rydon Construction has opened a new office in Basingstoke to support its southern region operation.

The new office is in Chineham Business Park and is targeting work across the south coast, from Poole to Chichester and north along the M3 corridor, through Reading and up to Oxford.

With its head office in East Sussex, and Rydon South West in Bristol, the contractor now feels it has the whole south of England covered.

The Basingstoke office is headed by regional director Colin Silvey, who joined Rydon in October 2015. He said: โ€œThis office is the next piece in the jigsaw for Rydon Constructionโ€™s continued expansion. It complements our existing operations and completes our coverage across the south of England, where we anticipate strong demand for quality building services from new and existing clients.

โ€œBasingstoke is an ideal location, with good transport links and is positioned at the heart of this new region. Over the coming months I look forward to building a team of dedicated staff and creating a supply chain with local knowledge delivering benefits to the local economy and the communities we work in.โ€
