Allicso awarded $75 million PPP contract for Vichy southwest bypass in France

Achema Middleeast

Allicso has inked a €54 million ($75.5 million) public-private partnership  contract with the General Council of the department of Allier, to finance, design and build the Vichy southwest bypass in France. Allicso is a consortium led by Colas Rhône-Alpes Auvergne with 34% interest, DTP Terrassement with 33% stake and Bouygues Travaux Publics Régions France with remaining 33% interest.

The scope of the contract includes construction of a 18.6km two-lane expressway, 16 civil engineering structures, along with a bridge over the Allier river, and eight hydraulic structures. Upon completion of the four-month design phase, construction work will begin in March 2012 and will last for 18 months.

Colas Rhône-Alpes Auvergne is responsible for road surfaces and equipment, and Bouygues Travaux Publics Régions France is responsible for civil engineering structures. Major maintenance and refurbishment, standard maintenance and upkeep of the bypass will be entrusted for 15 years.
