Tutor Perini Corporation , a leading civil, building and specialty construction company, announced that its subsidiary, Perini Management Services, Inc. (PMSI), has been awarded a design-build contract valued at approximately $104 million by the U.S. Air Force to design and construct facilities in support of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) through a Foreign Military Sales program.

The project was competitively bid through an Air Force Civil Engineer Center multiple award task order contract and is funded by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The contract value will be included in the Companyโ€™s reported fourth quarter 2018 backlog.

The project entails the design and construction of multiple facilities and site preparation, including a squadron operations facility, three aircraft maintenance hangers, aircraft sunshades, storage facility, water and fire protection system pump building, generator and enclosure, and gatehouse, as well as an apron, shoulders and taxiways.

Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2019 with completion by mid-2021. This is the second RSAF Foreign Military Sales project to be awarded to PMSI, which specializes in worldwide federal construction. The first project, awarded in February 2017, is approximately 70% complete. Architect-Engineering services for both projects are provided by Tetra Tech, Inc., of Pasadena, California.
