Weyerhaeuser, one of the US’s largest wood product distributors, has added reclaimed wood to its offering.

The US$6.2m turnover manufacturer and distributor has agreed an exclusive deal to distribute Barnwood Industries’ reclaimed wood in northern California.

Products will include reclaimed beams, timbers, wood flooring, doors cabinets and millwork. Weyerhaeuser anticipates expanding distribution of the products to other products in the near future.

“Builders and architects value reclaimed wood for its distinctive visual character,” said Sue Snuggs, product manager for Weyerhaeuser.

“It’s a way to honour the legacy of the past by reusing materials, while adding the timeless appeal of wood to any home or building.”
