French brand Ligne Roset has launched Mortaise storage and display unit collection.

The small units, designed by Japanese designer Yota Kakuda, incorporate a simple and organised look. The range includes a mixed-use shelving unit, occasional table, and double-shelf bedside table. The shelving unit can also double as a hall console, a mini bookshelf in the sitting room or office, or as bathroom shelving. The occasional table can also serve multiple purposes such as a small low table, sofa end table, bedside table or a plant stand.

The units are formed of thin oak blocks with their top portion featuring lacquered MDF slabs in black shades. The pieces are connected with long tenons and mortice joints. The new furniture is light in weight while its design makes it suitable to adorn any space of a residential unit.
