India-based L&T Construction, a unit of Larsen & Toubro Limited, has won new orders worth over INR11780 million ($211.62 million) across various business segments in November 2012.

The Buildings & Factories IC of L&T Construction has won new international orders in UAE worth INR5950 million ($106.89 million) for the construction of a hospital building and other associated facilities. In the Solar Business sector, L&T Construction has bagged new EPC orders worth INR2800 million ($50.30 million) for the construction of Solar PV systems in Rajasthan from multiple customers.

L&T Construction has also secured additional orders worth INR3030 ($54.43 million) from various ongoing projects mainly in airports, factories, minerals & metals and power transmission & distribution business segments.

Larsen & Toubro Limited operates as a technology, engineering, construction and manufacturing company. The company is engaged in the design, engineering, and construction of hydrocarbon upstream, mid and downstream, and construction and pipelines projects. The company is also engaged in coal and gas based power plants, refinery, petrochemical, fertilizers, modular process plant and gas processing projects.
