Netherlands-based rental company Boels Rental BV has acquired two rental companies, namely Loca-System in Belgium and Techno-rent Service of Germany.

The acquisitions of Loca-System and Techno-rent will assist Boels to reinforce its network in the Luxembourg and Namur areas, and command a a branch network of 30 in Belgium. Upon completion of acquisition formalities, Boels will operate from more than 1800 locations in 11 European countries.

Techno-rent’s Service portfolio consists of 450 ‘store-in-store’ rental points at builders merchants and DIY stores in Germany and other countries, from where it offers small equipment on rent. Under the terms of the acquisition agreement, Boels plans to boost Techno-rent’s in-store locations by another 450 stores in Germany, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.

The Techno-rent business was established in 1998 and has an employee base of 30. The company rents small equipment and tools to both professional and homeowner customers. Loca-System is a 20 year-old company and has two depots in Naninne and Marche-en-Famenne. The company has an employee base of nine, as stated by the KHL Group.
