Manchester City Football Club, an English Premier League football club based in Manchester, England has selected BAM Construction as the construction partner for the development of City Football Academy in Manchester.

The project involves construction of a youth development and first team training facility on an 80-acre site adjacent to the Etihad Stadium. The City Football Academy will include a new Academy for up to 400 young players with classrooms for 200, on site accommodation for junior and senior players and a first team building with changing rooms, gym, refectory and injury and rehab centre.

It also includes 16.5 football pitches, 12 of them will be dedicated to players aged from eight to 21, staff offices and a dedicated media centre, a 7,000 capacity stadium for youth matches and a bridge linking the site to the Etihad Stadium and the rest of the Etihad Campus.

BAM will begin construction on the site in September 2012 and completion is scheduled for 2014/15 Premier League season.
