NCC reports Q2 net profit of $57 million in 2011

Swedish construction company NCC has reported a net profit after tax of SEK369 million ($57.2 million), or SEK3.4 ($0.5) per share, for the second quarter of 2011, compared to SEK457 million ($70.9 million), or SEK4.19 ($0.6) per share, for the same quarter of 2010. NCC has reported net sales of SEK12.8 billion ($1.9 million) for the second quarter of 2011, compared to SEK11.9 billion ($1.8 million) for the corresponding period of 2010.The company’s operating profit was amounted to be SEK545 million ($84.5 million) in the second quarter of 2011, compared to SEK670 million ($103.9 million) in the same period of 2010.

NCC has reported a profit after tax of SEK131 million ($20.3 million), or SEK8 ($1.2) per share, for the first half of 2011, compared to SEK319 million ($49.5 million), or SEK3.7 ($0.5) per share, for the same period of 2010.Year-to-date net sales were SEK21.3 billion ($3.3 billion), compared to SEK21.6 billion ($3.35 billion) for the first half of 2010. Year-to-date operating profit was SEK265 million ($41.1 million) in the first half of 2011, which was SEK556 million ($87.2 million) in the same period of 2010.
