ISG has begun work on a £4.5m project to create an eye hospital in London’s Marylebone medical district for ophthalmic specialist Optegra.

ISG is converting two period properties in Queen Anne Street into a facility for the treatment of a range of eye conditions.

Retaining the Edwardian and Victorian façades of the two buildings, ISG will reorganise the interiors to provide 1200m2 of floor space across six storeys for Optegra.

Previous ISG projects include a cell therapy centre on the 12th floor of Guy’s Hospital in London for Cell Therapy Catapult, a new stem cell laboratory for King’s College London and a Large Vertebrate research facility at the Natural History Museum.

Divisional director Paul Sharp said: “Operating extensively across the healthcare and research and development (R&D) sectors, ISG specialises in complex fit out projects where our expertise and detailed sector knowledge adds real value to the customer relationship.”
