Winthrop-Atkins Mill to be converted into residential apartment

Heritage Companies will begin work on conversion of the Winthrop-Atkins Mill complex, located in Massachusetts, into a 71-unit apartment complex.The apartment will have 71 units. The company intends to convert the complex into a mixed use building with housing and office space.

The former mill building is spread over 11 acres of land. The company will renovate the 19th century Walker and Star Mill buildings that offer a space of about 155,000 square feet. The complex will also feature an emergency access driveway and installation of drainage fall out. Heritage will also create a wetland replacement over 5064 acres. The buildings, upon completion, will be visible from Route 105, which is close to downtown Middleboro.
