National Amusements has reopened the IMAX theatre at Providence Place in Providence, Rhode Island, after a $3 million facelift.
The facility has been equipped with a new IMAX digital screen, as well as a 32,000 watt advanced sound system following the makeover. Its lobby area too, has undergone an overhaul. The lobby now comprises a new concession facility sporting digital menu systems. The revamped theatre has further installed an advanced digital projection sporting Sony Digital 4K.The project had a duration of two years.
National Amusements has also carried out renovations to Cinemas 16 at Providence Place. The project included refurbishment of its lobby area, as well as installation of the latest digital projection system consisting of Sony Digital 4K.
