Civil engineering, quarrying and concrete contractor FP McCann has acquired P Clarke & Sons out of administration in a pre-pack deal.
While approximately two-thirds of the jobs were saved by the deal, P Clarke & Sons laid off 32 staff before going into administration last Friday (14th August 2015).
P Clarke & Sons is a Northern Irish family-owned quarrying and construction company with an 80-year history. It is based Lisnaskea in County Fermanagh. In the year to 31st March 2014 it turned over £20m and banked profits of £75,000.
In a statement, joint administrator Michael Jennings of BDO said: “We are pleased that the business will continue to trade and that 58 jobs have been safeguarded as a result of the sale.”
