Clark Construction breaks ground on new hotel in Alexandria, US

Clark Construction Group has broken ground on a six-story hotel at the corner of Prince Street and Daingerfield Road in Alexandria, US.

The new 87,855ft² hotel will be owned by Carr City Centers and will be operated by Hilton Garden Inn.

The hotel featuring a brick and fibre cement panel front wall and will also have one level of below-grade parking with 32 spaces, a loading bay for the Daingerfield Road side of the building that will be capable of allowing the entry of trucks.

Scope of work for the construction firm will include breaking down of the current parking lot and improvement of the surrounding streetscape.

Following the construction, the hotel will comprise a boardroom, a sundeck, and a green roof, and is also expected to obtain LEED Silver certification.

Currently, the construction firm is offering support of excavation work for the project, which is expected to complete in December 2014.
