New Central Kitsap schools worth $77.9 million to be build by Skanska

Skanska, one of the world’s leading construction and development firms, announced it has signed a $77.9 million general contractor/construction manager (GC/CM) contract with the Central Kitsap School District to build a new high school and middle school facility in Silverdale, Wash.

Skanska will include the full value of the contract in its Q1 2018 Unites States construction order bookings. The architect of record is Integrus Architecture.

The new 325,000-SF Central Kitsap High School and Middle School is designed to serve 2,100 students on the site of the existing school campus. The facility will feature flexible educational spaces with state-of-the-art technology that will prepare students for the careers of tomorrow.

The existing middle school with be demolished with the exception of its gymnasium, which will be modernized and upgraded. The campus and its reconstructed fields will be made more accessible, providing opportunities for sports and other community events.Construction is under way and will be completed in time for the 2019-20 school year.
