UKTI highlights trio of openings in Turkey

UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) is offering British companies help in targeting a trio of waste and wastewater management projects in Turkey.

Two of the schemes involve wastewater treatment in Mardin. One is for the complete engineering design and construction of the new Southern (Kızıltepe) and Northern (Yeşilli) wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) for the city. The contractor will also be responsible for start-up of the plant, commissioning, operational training of the client’s team and the hand-over to the Municipality of the complete wastewater treatment plants ready for operation.

The second Mardin contract involves the construction of a sewerage network in both the northern and southern basins of the city.  The works covered include the installation of corrugated HDPE, concrete and reinforced concrete wastewater pipelines, as well as the construction of manholes, house connections, septic structures and a collection chamber.

The third scheme is for a solid waste management facility in Corum. The project includes the first phase of a landfill, a leachate collection system and leachate treatment plant as well as a gas collection system and flaring system and auxiliary infrastructure works. The scheme also incorporates other aspects including a materials recovery facility, a composing plant and four transfer stations.
