Skanska builds new high school in Sherwood, USA, for USD 77 M, about SEK 640 M

Skanska has signed a contract with the Sherwood School District to construct a new high school for the school district in Portland, Oregon, USA. The contract is worth USD 77 M, about SEK 640 M, which will be included in the US order bookings for the second quarter of 2018.

The project consists of a new 32,800 square meter facility for the school district. The school is planned to accommodate 2,000 students, with the ability to expand to 2,400 students. The campus will include a performing arts center, science and technology classrooms, and multiple gymnasiums. Additionally, it will also include seven sports fields and a football complex.

Construction is under way and will conclude in time for the 2020-21 school year.
